Dear Campus Community, It is with great sadness I write to inform you that two of our students, Mr. Joseph Labori and Ms. Vanessa Carrisoza, both in their second year at CSU Dominguez Hills, died Tuesday night in Torrance when their car was struck head-on by another vehicle. The University has been in contact with the families this morning to extend condolences and to offer assistance in their time of need. Funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and managed by the nonprofit Institute of International Education, the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship facilitates engagement between scholars born in Africa who are now based in the United States or Canada and scholars in Africa on mutually beneficial academic activities.
